Mit dem Eröffnungsabend der neuen Ballettsaison begibt sich Jörg Mannes auf ein Experimentierfeld zwischen Kunst, Klang, Künstlicher Intelligenz und Choreografie.
Inspiriert werden er und sein Team – mit Bühnenbildner Florian Parbs, Kostümbildnerin Louise Flanagan und Videokünstler Philipp Contag-Lada gestaltete er bereits den Ballettabend Schneewittchen – von einem Meister der Farben: Vincent van Gogh. So steht also nicht das Leben dieses Ausnahme-Malers im Zentrum, sondern seine Kunst: Wie beeinflussen sich Farbe, Raum und Bewegung? Wie reagieren die Tänzer der Compagnie aufeinander? Und was gibt die Musik dazu? Immerhin hat Mannes so unterschiedliche Werke ausgewählt wie Arvo Pärts Silouan’s Song, Charles Ives’ Unanswered Question, Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre und Rachmaninows Toteninsel. Ein Ballettabend für alle Sinne.
